About the Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and personable Business Support Officer to join our Adelaide office.
This is a varied role that sits within our Business Services team, providing essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office. You'll be the first point of contact for many internal enquiries, helping create an efficient, welcoming and well-organised workplace while supporting our client-facing teams to deliver exceptional service.
No two days will be the same. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a busy, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration
Be the primary point of contact for day-to-day office enquiries.
Monitor and manage shared business inboxes.
Coordinate office facilities and liaise with the building landlord and service providers.
Manage office supplies, stationery, kitchen facilities and consumables.
Coordinate office maintenance, cleaning services, plants and general workplace presentation.
Organise meeting rooms and support internal meetings and visitor arrangements.
Maintain organised office storage and general administrative systems.
Business & People Support
Support employee onboarding and induction activities in partnership with the HR team.
Assist with employee administration and general people support activities.
Provide administrative assistance to consultants and client-facing teams as required.
Coordinate travel, meetings and other business support activities where needed.
IT & Asset Coordination
Coordinate the setup and management of phones, IT equipment and office assets.
Support new starter and leaver processes, including equipment allocation and system access.
Maintain office printers and coordinate repairs or replacements with suppliers where required.
Health, Safety & Workplace Compliance
Support compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Coordinate workplace inspections and maintain office safety equipment.
Act as the office Fire Marshal and assist with emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills.
Report and coordinate maintenance of office facilities and equipment.
Training & Events
Coordinate employee training bookings and associated administration.
Support internal meetings, company briefings and workshops.
Assist with planning and coordinating team events, social activities and company functions.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, dependable and enjoys helping others succeed. You'll be confident working independently, able to juggle competing priorities and comfortable building positive relationships with colleagues and external suppliers.
You'll ideally bring:
Previous experience in an administration, office management or business support role.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to anticipate business needs.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
Experience coordinating meetings, training or office events.
An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within an office environment.
