Role summary: We are looking for an experienced HR professional to deliver high-quality, proactive support across DBD. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, best practice, and current employment legislation.

You will play a key role in shaping a positive employee experience, driving continuous improvement across the full employment lifecycle, and supporting leaders to effectively manage and develop their teams.
 

What you will be doing:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with evolving employment legislation and clear internal communication

• Review and enhance the end-to-end employee lifecycle, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, experience, and retention

• Lead on learning and development initiatives, ensuring our people have the skills and support needed to succeed

• Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and best practice across areas such as recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations

• Manage complex employee relations cases and investigations with professionalism, fairness, and consistency

• Drive performance management processes and continuous improvement, including ownership of platforms

• Conduct market benchmarking to inform salary reviews, ensuring our reward and benefits offering remains competitive and aligned with employee needs

Formal qualifications or training:

• Proven experience in a HR role, operating at both strategic and operational levels

• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

• Confident advising on complex employee relations matters and managing sensitive situations

• Experience in developing and improving HR processes, systems, and policies

• Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified (or working towards)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
