Role summary: Looking for an experienced mechanical engineering professional responsible for delivering complex engineering work packages within a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on providing robust, fit-for-purpose mechanical design solutions, supporting project delivery to cost and schedule, and acting as a technical authority within a specialist engineering area.
What you will be doing:
Delivering mechanical engineering designs and technical solutions for complex systems and equipment
Producing, reviewing and approving engineering calculations, drawings, reports and design documentation
Applying relevant engineering standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the design lifecycle
Identifying, assessing and resolving technical issues, risks and design changes
Supporting project planning, delivery and stakeholder communication
Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced engineers
Contributing to safety assessments, design substantiation and assurance activities
Maintaining configuration control and design integrity across project phases
Formal qualifications or training:
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (or actively working towards professional registration)
Ongoing professional development aligned with relevant engineering standards and regulations
